Pi Lambda Phi Finds New CEO

Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity and Education Foundation Announce Ry Beck as new Chief Executive Officer

Pi Lambda Phi International Executive Council and the Pi Lambda Phi Education Foundation Board of Directors are pleased to announce Ry Beck will join Pi Lambda Phi, jointly serving both entities, as Chief Executive Officer, effective July 13, 2026. This announcement is subsequent to a planned leadership transition and a national CEO search. Ian Lowe transitioned earlier this summer from his role as Executive Director with the fraternity after 14 years of extraordinary service to pursue a full-time military career.

Beck brings two decades of fraternity and higher education experience, most recently as Assistant Executive Director and Chief Strategy Officer at Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. While serving Delta Sigma Phi he led the organization’s strategic plan and directed a $3.5 million operating budget supporting a $35 million comprehensive campaign. His background spans chapter expansion, educational programming, risk management, and organizational strategy. His non-profit experience includes roles with Uncommon Schools and Princeton AlumniCorps; he currently lends his expertise to the fraternal industry as a member of the Board of Directors for the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors.

“Our staff and boards have spent the last two years doing the hard, unglamorous work of preparing this organization to support its first enterprise CEO, and we’re proud of what we have built. We are also grateful to Lumen Leadership Strategies for their invaluable guidance throughout this search, and for their continued partnership as we support Ry and our staff through this transition. Ry brings something rare to this role – real experience in both fraternity operations and fundraising, paired with the energy and entrepreneurial mindset to act on it. Ry is eager to make an immediate impact and contribute from day one, and our boards are prepared to invest the resources he needs to lead Pi Lambda Phi into the future. Collaboratively, we’ll increase the services we provide to our existing chapters, drive success in our expansion efforts and grow alumni engagement and support.” Joe Nascimento, President, International Executive Council, and Dan Scott, President, Pi Lambda Phi Education Foundation jointly remarked.

Beck holds an MBA from Butler University, a Master of Arts in Adult and Community Education from Ball State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Texas. A Texas native, he and his wife, Liz, recently relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee.

Beck stated, “Pi Lambda Phi holds a unique place in the history of the fraternal movement. Its dedication to personal discovery, human equality, and civic engagement offers a refreshing purpose to those who join and to the communities we serve. My responsibility and commitment are to build on this legacy, to amplify the voice of our members, and to ensure Pi Lambda Phi lives up to its promise. I am incredibly thankful to Pi Lambda Phi’s leadership for their trust and I am eager to work alongside every member as we write the next chapter in Pi Lambda Phi’s story.” Beck will align both organizations under a unified vision, strengthen organizational impact, and elevate the value of both Pi Lambda Phi membership and partnership.

To our brothers, we invite you to officially welcome Ry into his role and launch a new era of leadership for Pi Lambda Phi at our 2026 National Convention in Chicago, July 30-Aug. 2, registration is open: https://ow.ly/M4yK50Zer1n
