Leadership Institute

Leading courageously is a core component of Pi Lambda Phi’s history and mission. The Leadership Institute is Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity’s bi-annual leadership conference that is designed to help emerging leaders improve valuable skills to encourage, empower, and inspire positive change. This four-day institute offers an immersive experience that teaches values-based leadership through the foundation of Kouzes and Posner’s “The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership.”

LI curriculum combines small- and large-group facilitated discussions, team-building activities, and high and low ropes-style challenge courses. Trained alumni volunteers and professional staff will guide participants through the Leadership Institute. The purpose of this program is to help undergraduate members to improve their individual, team, organizational and professional leadership skills. Participants will create a Personal Development Plan to help them achieve goals in various aspects of their life.”

Pi Lambda Phi Leadership Convention

Pi Lambda Phi’s Leadership Convention is an amazing opportunity for undergraduate brothers from across North America to come together for three to four days of leadership development, operational training and brotherhood. At Convention, delegates from each of our chapters and associate chapters participate in informational sessions, activities and small group discussions that will help them become better leaders within their chapters and gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be a Pilam. Convention is also a great time for delegates to build bonds with and learn from the experiences of the brothers from different chapters as well as the alumni volunteers in attendance.

Each year at Convention we also take time to celebrate the accomplishments of our undergraduate and alumni brothers over the past academic year. At our 2018 Convention in Richmond, VA we had many milestones capped off with the largest attendance at the annual Presidential Awards Banquet in recent years!

Founders Day Celebration

Commemorating the ideals and values envisioned by Henry Mark Fisher, Louis Sampter Levy, Frederick Manfred Werner, Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity celebrates our Founders Day each year on March 21st. Pictured below is the 125th Founders Day Celebration hosted in Tallahassee, FL, home to the FL Epsilon Lambda Associate Chapter at Florida State University. Over 100 attendees, including alumni, undergraduates, friends, and guests alike gathered to celebrate this occasion.
