Pi Lambda Phi Announces Chief Executive Officer Search
Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity and the Pi Lambda Phi Educational Foundation jointly announce that Executive Director Ian Lowe will transition from his role later this summer following more than 14 years of dedicated service to the organization as Executive Director.
What to Know
Since assuming leadership of Pi Lambda Phi, Ian played a significant role in guiding the Fraternity through periods of organizational change, operational evolution, chapter development, and member support. Under his leadership, the organization strengthened its operational foundation, expanded volunteer engagement efforts, and continued advancing Pi Lambda Phi’s mission of developing courageous leaders committed to eliminating prejudice.

“It is with both gratitude and sadness that Pi Lambda Phi recognizes Ian Lowe’s transition from his role as Executive Director as he continues pursuing his full-time military career. Over the past 14 years, Ian has helped guide and strengthen Pi Lambda Phi while advancing a culture centered on leadership, scholarship, community involvement, and the development of better men. His dedication, steady leadership, and commitment to the mission of Pi Lambda Phi has left a lasting impact on the Fraternity and Foundation alike. On behalf of all brothers, we extend our profound gratitude for Ian’s years of service and leadership. He will be greatly missed.”
-President of the Pi Lambda Phi Education Foundation, Dan Scott, 1986, IL Tau Delta, University of Illinois
To support the organization’s next chapter, the Fraternity and Foundation have launched a national search for a new Chief Executive Officer who will support both organizations in a newly aligned leadership structure. This model is intended to strengthen strategic coordination, fundraising growth, operational effectiveness, and long-term sustainability across the Pi Lambda Phi organization.
“This is a moment we have been working toward and planning for over many years, and I could not be more excited to see it come to life. None of it would be possible without the foundation Ian Lowe built over 14 years of tireless dedication to this Fraternity and its members. Ian leaves Pi Lambda Phi stronger, more capable, and better prepared for what comes next – and for that, every brother owes him a debt of gratitude. By aligning the Fraternity and Foundation under a unified leadership structure, we will be better positioned to serve our undergraduate and alumni members, operate with greater efficiency, and unlock the tremendous growth potential that exists across our entire organization. This is a deliberate, well-planned transition, and we are committed to finding a leader who will carry Pi Lambda Phi boldly into its next chapter. The best days of this Fraternity are ahead of us.”
