2025 Young Alumni Professional Achievement Awards
This year Pi Lambda Phi introduced a new award category to recognize brothers who excel in their professional field, the Young Alumni Professional Achievement Awards. The award recognizes the professional contributions of up-and-coming brothers. It’s basically a “who’s who” of alumni under 40 who are doing very well in their professional field.
Pilam is proud of our culture of successful brothers and wanted to make sure we were recognizing the rising stars who are truly “killing it” in their professional lives.
What recipients have said about receiving the award:
“It’s an incredible honor not just because of the recognition itself, but because of what it represents. Years ago, when I joined Pi Lambda Phi, I never imagined where the journey would take me. Since then, I’ve built a business, grown a team, and helped companies across the country solve one of their biggest challenges: Hiring the right people.”
Vince Pennix – Roanoke
“Staying involved in a fraternity years after graduation might seem unusual for most. For me, continued involvement with Pilam has been a surprising and steady source of leadership, growth, community, and reflection.”
Kyle Krahn – UW Madison
“Being recognized alongside the brotherhood that shaped me as president of the UVA chapter means everything. But this moment is about more than individual recognition, it’s about the timeless values that guide us. As someone who witnessed firsthand the power of diverse perspectives in leadership, I’ve seen how these principles translate into real impact. In a world that feels increasingly divided, our fraternity’s 130-year mission to eliminate prejudice feels both urgent and essential.”
Adrian Mack – UVA

Award qualifications
The HQ was pleased to receive a significant number of nominees in the first round of submissions. These are the basic qualifications for young alumni professionals:
- Pilam alumni under the age of 40 who are doing very well in their professional field.
- Nominations submitted should explain why the nominee is “ahead of the curve.”
- List any achievements of the nominee including: awards received, recognitions garnered, advanced degrees obtained, unique professional experiences, impactful projects, and business titles.
- Nominations that come from others (not self-nominated) carry more weight. When a nomination comes in from multiple people, it has more impact.
Nominations are welcome
If you know a brother who fits these qualifications and would like to nominate them for this award, please send the name and professional information to the HQ about the nominee and include any helpful information about why the nominee has distinguished themself.
