The George A. Beck Outstanding Chapter Award is presented annually to the chapter of Pi Lambda Phi which has the most outstanding chapter operations. Brother Beck was initiated in 1940 at his beloved University of Virginia. He served the International Fraternity for many years, most notably as the International Headquarters Executive Director for 26 years. He also served as Executive Secretary, Executive Vice President, and as a Trustee for the Educational Foundation. Brother George Beck over the years has generously donated his time, money and efforts to help the Fraternity and Foundation reach its many goals. He has been an example to all that being a member of our Fraternity is “Not Four Years, But a Lifetime”.
