Open Scholarships

During last year’s 112^th Annual Convention of Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity, it was announced that the Board of Trustees of the Pi Lambda Phi Educational Foundation will offer (3) $2,500 scholarships to qualified undergraduate brothers for the coming fall 2008 semester. Pi Lambda Phi Educational Foundation is proud to continue its commitment toward helping grow future leaders through its educational and scholarship programs.

Of special note, the Foundation Trustees have decided to designate one of those three scholarships as
The Stanley L. Klunder, H.B. Leadership Scholarship, named for the Foundation’s recent past president and past IEC president, Stan Klunder. Brother Klunder has exemplified “Not Four Years, But a Lifetime” through his 34 years of service to our Fraternity. This particular scholarship’s criteria will be similar to the remaining two available general scholarships, but the selection process will emphasize the need for the recipient’s excelled and proven leadership experience within our brotherhood, academic, social and, community circles.

All three scholarships’ criteria for judgment include, but not limited to; service to fraternity and community, academic achievement, and financial need. We encourage all undergraduate brothers, who are in good standing with their chapter and the International Fraternity Headquarters, to apply for these worthwhile scholarships. The recipients of these three scholarships will be announced at this year’s PLP Annual Convention, to be held in Richmond, Virginia, July 31-August 3, 2008.

Because of the requirements of the application, all completed applications and related materials are to be mailed and received at the Foundation offices, located at 36 Mill Plain Road, Suite 309, Danbury, CT 06811, by no later than July 10, 2008. Any applications received later than that date will not be considered. click to print application
