Ezra Krieg, C.K., President
Currently serving as President of the Pi Lambda Phi Educational Foundation, Ezra M. Krieg, C.K. has long served our Fraternity and received numerous awards for his efforts: initiated in 1974 as a member of the PA Gamma Sigma Chapter, he held chapter positions as New Member Educator and Rex, and was the recipient of his chapter’s highest honor. Post graduation, Ezra served as a staff member at the Fraternity’s International Headquarters, and later on served five years as an IEC council member. Residing in Delray Beach, Florida, with his wife and two sons, Ezra is employed as a Senior Consultant for Community Leadership Consulting, a company dedicated to helping emerging non profit organizations reach their potential in helping people in need.

Hon. John L. Braxton, Vice President
Judge Braxton began his career with Pi Lambda Phi in 1964 when initiated into the PA Omega Gamma Chapter at Penn State University, and served as Archon in 1965. Prior to his law studies, he was a decorated Vietnam Veteran. John earned his law degree at Howard University, and became an Associate with the law firm of Wolf, Block, Schorr & Solis-Cohen in Philadelphia. In 1981, he was appointed to the Court of Common Pleas serving until 1995 when he resigned to run for Congress. More recently, he was as a member of the Board of Governors of the American Red Cross, and is the Treasurer of the National Bar Association. Continuing to support Pi Lambda Phi, he is the Vice President of the Educational Foundation. Judge Braxton and his family reside in Philadelphia, PA.

Bill Chorba, Treasurer
Bill Chorba graduated from the OH Beta Tau chapter at Baldwin Wallace. During his undergrad he was very active including a term as the Marshall. Currently, Bill Chorba is a CPA and Chief Financial Officer for CPI, an employee benefits, payroll, and human resource firm, in Ohio. He has significant experience with other major financial and risk management giants, holds many memberships within the financial community, and volunteers his free time to major charitable organizations. In his spare time, Bill enjoys weightlifting, motorcycles, home remodeling, and anything automotive. Currently serving as the Treasurer of the PLP Educational Foundation and resides in Elyria, Ohio with his wife and stepsons.

Max A. Dobens, Secretary

George A. Beck, H.B., Executive Director Emeritus, Trustee
George was initiated as a member of the VA Omega Alpha Chapter at the University of Virginia in 1940 He has served as KOE and Rex and later in his fraternal career became Executive Secretary of the IEC. After 26 years of service, he was honored by the Fraternity with the position of Executive Director Emeritus, and continues to serve as Director of the NIC’s Inter-fraternity Foundation and a Trustee of the PLP Educational Foundation. George has received numerous fraternal awards, including PLP’s Diamond Council Key, Theta Chi’s Chapman Alter Award for Inter-fraternal Excellence, and the NIC gold medal. As a retired Navy Captain, George and his wife enjoy their days in both Pennsylvania and Florida.

Warren A. Weiss, H.B., Trustee
Warren Weiss has dedicated many years of service to the Fraternity and Foundation. He is a 1954 graduate of William and Mary, and was Pledgemaster, Treasurer and President of the VA Psi chapter during his undergraduate years. Following graduation, he received his law degree from Columbia University, and partnered a successful law firm specializing in the corporate and securities arenas. Throughout the years he has held multiple positions on the International Executive Council, culminating in his election as IEC President in 1975. He continues to serve the fraternity on the Board of Trustees of the Educational Foundation, a position he has held for 17 years.

Ronald M. Grossman, C.K., Trustee
Dr. Ronald M. Grossman graduated Washington & Jefferson College in 1961. He has actively supported our Fraternity since his initiation; Rex, the first Pilam President of W&J’s inter-Fraternity Council; Regional Governor; Councilman, Treasurer, Vice President and President of the International Fraternity and, currently; Trustee of the PLP Educational Foundation. Ron is retired from a 29-year career as an ear, nose, and throat surgeon and resides with his wife of 44 years in Naples, Florida.

Denise A. Avanzato
Since 2000, Denise has served as the Administrator of the Educational Foundation. She is a native New Yorker, residing with her husband in Danbury Connecticut. Prior to joining the fraternity staff, she was a Senior Executive Assistant for 22 years, most recently to the Chairman of a Fortune 500 consumer brands corporation. As a 1979 graduate of the College of Mount Saint Vincent, Riverdale, New York, Denise holds a B.S. in Communication Arts, and enjoys the leisure activities of gardening and decorating.
