Educational Foundation Sponsors Undergrad EoP Video Contest

The Pi Lambda Phi Educational Foundation, in partnership with The Elimination of Prejudice, will be hosting the first annual Pi Lambda Phi – Elimination of Prejudice Video Contest. Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity aims to encourage its student members to address issues as relevant today as they were in 1895! Be imaginative! Be vocal! Be rewarded for your creative contribution to the Pi Lambda Phi – Elimination of Prejudice Video Contest. Submit your 3-minute video on how LGBT prejudices relates to events in society or in your own life today to this website by 11:59 p.m. EST on May 31, 2012 for your chance to win $1000!

 

Your web video should focus on how LGBT prejudices relates to events in society or your life. You might analyze events like marriage equality, Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), Don’t Ask Don’t Tell (DADT), homophobia, transphobia, the role of LGBT in American society and politics today or possibly address how LGBT prejudices have affected your life or those around you.

 

Just make sure your video:

  • Clocks under 3 minutes
  • Is in English
  • Is under 1024 MB in size
  • Has a “PG” sensitivity
  • Doesn’t include “talking head” rants
  • Expresses your own unique thoughts
  • Urges viewers to take action
